About Us
CVOEO Weatherization
Reducing energy costs
for low-income Vermonters
CVOEO Weatherization is the local service provider for Vermont’s Weatherization Program in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, including Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.
Vermont’s Weatherization Program
uses state, national, and utility resources
to deliver comprehensive energy services
to qualified low-income households. The
program is offered at no-cost to qualified
low-income households (see Do I Qualify?).
CVOEO Weatherization serves approximately
350 households each year. Once
qualified, an energy auditor will review
your energy use and conduct a thorough
energy audit on your home to assess
the improvements that will provide
the greatest savings. Generally,
we focus on air-sealing and insulation
as our major improvements, but our
auditors will look at anything that
might save you energy and money! We
also improve safety by cleaning and
tuning heating systems, by improving
ventilation systems, and by installing
carbon monoxide detectors and smoke
detectors.
