The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Administration department has an opening for a Case Management Coordinator. Under direct supervision of the Grants Manager, the Case Management Coordinator will facilitate, monitor and evaluate the Case Management process and coordinate case management systems for the Community Housing Grant. The Case Management Coordinator is a member of the Community Housing Oversight Team and is responsible for maintaining data and reports originating from the screening tool.
Successful applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and two to four years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired; knowledge in case management principles, procedures and practices as well as crisis intervention principles and practices. This is a 20 hours / week position.

Under direct supervision of the Fiscal Director, the Staff Accountant will assist the Finance Department in creating timely and accurate financial statements and facilitate special financial projects.
Successful applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an Associates degree in Accounting with two years related work experience; thorough knowledge of general accounting with a working knowledge of Not-for-Profit Accounting; proficient in Excel and have working knowledge of accounting software and basic office technology. The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity / Mobile Home Program (MHP) seeks an experienced, energetic, and committed Director with a high degree of initiative to join our team.
The Mobile Home Program Director will be responsible for the effective ongoing operations of the MHP. Reporting to the Executive Director the MHP Director works to maintain and expand MHP funding streams including grant research, writing, and reporting. Job responsibilities include: performs day-to-day supervision of MHP staff; works with the Executive Director and other staff to establish and accomplish goals and objectives for the MHP; provides direct services to mobile home residents including individual advocacy and problem solving, trainings and technical assistance for resident associations and resident-owned cooperatives; maintains partnerships with agencies throughout the state to further the mission of the MHP; provides public advocacy on issues related to the interests of mobile home residents and prospective residents of mobile homes and mobile home parks.
Successful applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline – Master’s degree preferred; and three to five years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: housing counseling, advocacy, housing management, housing code enforcement, finance related experience, resident services or other social services, especially those involving housing issues, or a combination of work experience from which equivalent applicable knowledge and skills have been gained; or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.

HEAD START EARLY CARE ADVOCATE Positions (Burlington)
Provide developmentally appropriate environment and experiences for preschool children in a Head Start classroom, and monthly home visits for families. Assist families in accessing medical and dental care for preschool children. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related education field, classroom experience, and experience in curriculum planning and implementation, child outcome assessment, and working with children with special needs. Champlain Valley Weatherization Service
Weatherization – St. Albans & Williston
The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Weatherization Program is the local service provider for Vermont’s Weatherization Program in Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. CVOEO is seeking a Crew Member to join our team who will be responsible for safely working in the homes of low-income Vermonters. This can involve the usual hazards of construction, including but not limited to entering small spaces (attics, crawl spaces), being on ladders or scaffolding, using power tools, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; basic carpentry and electrical skills; ability to safely use power tools and equipment, including on ladders; and have an understanding of building construction and materials as well as the principles of energy efficient retrofits. We are looking for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude. This position is physically demanding. Desired qualifications include training in OSHA 10; lead safe renovator; and First Aid/ CPR. Community Services Worker / Home Energy Assistance
The Community Services Worker (CSW) will provide emergency home energy assistance and/or direct services to households in crisis in the Champlain Valley. This includes the determination of eligibility for LIHEAP Crisis or Emergency Fuel Assistance, WARMTH, FEMA and/or other available funding sources. The CSW will advocate or refer low-income households as appropriate regarding fuel assistance and other related services.

Community Services Worker / Housing Counselor
The Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) Chittenden Community Action program has an opening for a Community Service Worker Housing Counselor (CSWHC). Working closely with the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program Financial Counselor, the CSWHC will provide housing stabilization assistance and support services to very low income families with a veteran head of household in transition in need of permanent housing or may be facing homelessness due to eviction or foreclosure within CVOEO’s territory.
Successful applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field
(i.e., Social Work, Psychology) from an accredited college or equivalent education and related work experience; two years of supervised social work experience working directly with individuals is preferred; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and strong computer skills. A clean driving record and access to reliable transportation is required. This is a 40 hours / week full time position.
