Through this program, the Vermont Department of Conservation provides financial assistance to low-income Vermont property owners who have oil storage tanks (underground or aboveground) used solely for on-premises heating. The goal is to help replace tanks which otherwise might leak and cause adverse impact to the environment.

Even if you don't qualify for Champlain Valley Weatherization Services, you may still qualify for a Champlain Housing Trust’s Housing Loan Fund. These loans allow for rehabilitation and construction of essential structural and/or mechanical systems necessary for you and your family’s health and safety (roof replacement, electrical updates, plumbing or septic repairs, and more). Champlain Housing Trust provides borrowers with construction management services including: a list of approved contractors to choose from; the opportunity to have your own contractor approved; progress inspections prior to payment for work completed.

Burlington Electric Department (BED) is Vermont’s largest municipally owned electric utility serving more than 19,600 customers. BED is the exclusive provider of electric service to the City of Burlington, an area of approximately 16 square miles, and the Burlington International Airport in South Burlington.
